Dear FACE Africa Friends
and Supporters:
On behalf of the entire FACE Africa team
and Gala Planning Committee, I wanted to sincerely thank everyone who
attended and supported our 1st Annual Gala on Saturday, March 20th.
You helped us to raise over $50,000 making our first Annual Gala a
success! Your personal support, coupled with the generosity of other
community-spirited people and companies, contributed to the success of
the event and we are extremely grateful to you.
The funds
raised will certainly go a long way towards funding clean water
projects in Liberia. FACE Africa will be partnering with
Concern Liberia to partly or fully fund the construction of
hand pumps, boreholes, public tap stands, drainage systems and garbage
collection in both urban and rural communities in the country. Concern
Liberia has been implementing water and sanitation projects in Liberia
since 2000, both in emergencies and in community recovery. The
organization has carried out water and sanitation projects that
benefited more 121,000 people in 14 urban communities.
Please
remember that this event would not be possible without the many
amazing people and companies who so generously and freely donated
funds as well as items for the silent auction, so please support those
who have supported us. We would particularly like to thank the Taj
