FACE Africa/ Tap Project Dinner
Exchange Street Bistro
March 2008
In March 2008, FACE Africa
participated in a UNICEF grassroots initiative to provide clean and safe
water to children around the world. The TAP Project simply invited
individuals to donate $1 for the clean drinking water usually served for
free when they visit participating restaurants during World Water Week,
from March 16 - March 22, 2008. All funds collected went to support
UNICEF water programs.
We worked hard to raise awareness of the Tap Project and to recruit
restaurants to participate. FACE Africa also organized a dinner party on
World Water Day, March 22nd, that was attended by over 40 people who all
generously donated to the Tap Project.
