Project Number 9 & 10 – Williamtown [back to all projects]
|
In 2011, FACE Africa received a generous grant of $10,000 from the Global Neighborhood Fund to for a complete WASH project in Williamtown. The project provided safe drinking water, adequate sanitation facilities and hygiene promotion to residents of Williamtown and surrounding villages. To support these efforts and ensure sustainability, the project also focused on building the capacity of the community Water, Sanitation and Hygiene committee in water point management and maintenance. We also undertook intensive health and hygiene promotion within the community to encourage positive behavioral change and improved personal hygiene practices.
